Kensington House Hotel, located on Prince of Wales Terrace, is thought to have been part of a 22 house development originally built by Philip Wilkinson between 1862 and 1865.
It was built on the site of the extensive gardens of the old Kensington House dating from the second half of the 18th century and took its name.
The property's interior retains many of the original features including the staircase, balustrade and ceiling mouldings.
Designed with a light touch, today's central London hotel is stylishly modern with original artworks and sculptures adorning its walls.
The 41 bright and airy guest rooms, one with a private balcony, are styled with a contemporary elegance with views extending over delightful mews houses, leafy streets and city rooftops.
